Welcome to Malaysia!

The Essential Travel Guide for MyAERO Summit 2026

Malaysian Hospitality

We want your stay in Kuala Lumpur to be as productive and comfortable as possible. Here is what you need to know upon arrival.

MyAERO is held at MAEPS, Serdang

The most convenient way for delegates to reach the venue is by car – either by taking e-hailing or drive & park.

E-Hailing

Highly recommended.

Delegates are advised to set their destination specifically to “MAEPS Hall A” rather than just “MAEPS” to avoid being dropped at the main gate.

Suggested e-hailing apps: AirAsia MOVE, Maxim, inDrive

Drive & Park

MAEPS has over 7,000 parking bays. Navigate to MAEPS, Serdang and follow the posted signages to the dedicated parking areas.

Parking fee is set at RM 5.00 per entry and payment is cashless only (Touch’nGo card or Visa card).

Public Transport

(Train + Taxi/e-Hailing)

There is no “MAEPS” train station. Delegates using public transport should take a train to a nearby hub and then a short taxi/Grab ride:

MRT Putrajaya Line

Stop at MRT Serdang Jaya (PY33) or MRT UPM (PY34). From there, it is a 10–15 minute Taxi or e-Hailing ride to the venue.

KLIA Transit (ERL)

If coming from the airport, stop at Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Sentral. From there, it is a 15-minute Taxi or e-Hailing ride.

These options are close to the event venue, saving you travel time.

Staying Connected

Malaysia has excellent 5G coverage. You can stay connected through:

eSim

For immediate connectivity, download apps like Airalo, Saily, or Holafly before you fly. You can activate your data plan the moment you land.

Airport Kiosks

Major telcos like CelcomDigi, Maxis (Hotlink), and U Mobile have 24/7 booths located immediately after the baggage claim and in the Arrival Hall.

Tourist Packs

Look for “Traveller SIM” packs (typically ranging from RM25–RM50) which offer 30GB+ of data and local calls—perfect for a one-week summit.

Note: You will need your passport for registration if purchasing a physical SIM card.

Disclaimer: The information regarding eSIM providers and local telco services is provided for informational purposes only. We do not endorse any specific service provider and is not responsible for connectivity issues, data charges, or technical difficulties. Delegates are responsible for ensuring their devices are eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked. Any service agreements, registrations, or payments are strictly between the individual and the respective service provider.

Currency & Payments

The local currency is the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).

Cashless is King

Credit and Debit cards (Visa/Mastercard) are widely accepted in hotels, malls, and restaurants.

Touch 'n Go (TNG) eWallet

As of 2026, international tourists (especially from ASEAN, China, Japan, and Korea) can register for the TNG eWallet using your foreign mobile number and passport. This is highly recommended for paying by QR Code at local stalls or smaller vendors where cards aren’t accepted.

Currency Exchange

While there are exchanges at the airport, you will get better rates at major malls near the venue, such as IOI City Mall (Putrajaya).

Weather & Attire

Climate

Tropical. Expect temperatures between 28°C and 33°C.

Suggested Attire

Business or Smart Casual. Please note that while it is hot outside, indoor venues like MAEPS are often heavily air-conditioned, so we recommend bringing a light blazer or jacket.

Rain

Afternoon showers are common in June. Keep a small umbrella or a light raincoat handy for your commute.
